They have many needs, which can usually be boiled down to information, resources and support.  Identifying the typical needs of these people, how many of these needs does your institution already address or can easily accommodate?  For those needs that are out of the scope of your service area, how can you identify local resources available as referrals?

Download “Unemployed Resources” from Your Dream & Goals website to identify a complete list of information, resources and support that the unemployed may need to survive their transition.  A perusal of services your institution provides can easily clarify how your institution is currently in a position to support these people. It can also help with strategic planning regarding what additional resources you are willing and able to provide. For those needs that are outside the scope of your mission/purpose, a list of appropriate referrals should be available.
